InSync - India's first classical music channel announced

MUMBAI: Fans of Indian classical music can rejoice as the country’s first 24- hour Indian Classical music channel will come on-air in June. ‘InSync’- the channel launched by Perfect Octave will be available  free-to-air on HD (High Definition) via DTH (direct-to-home) platform. The distribution will be carried out by Cira Media. The channel will initially be available across the country’s top four metros- Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.

Radio One operating profit grows exponentially

MUMBAI: Radio One, now renamed Next Radio, the joint venture between Next MediaWorks and BBC worldwide has recorded a 16 per cent jump in its total revenue during the fiscal 2012-13. It posted revenue of Rs 50.41 crore  as compared to Rs 43.48 crore in the previous fiscal. The company declared its audited financial results at the annual board meeting held on 25 April.

Sri Adhikari Bros to launch marathi music channel

MUMBAI: Sri Adhikari Brothers Ltd (SAB) is all set to launch a new music channel in Marathi from May. The channel, according to information received will be named ‘My Boli’ and will showcase Marathi music and comedy. SAB, which has been producing content for television since 1995 and entered broadcasting segment in 2000, has reportedly invested Rs 200 crores in four regional GEC channels and  five niche channels.
